Temperament is of the utmost importance to us here at J-Lyn, so testing
is done on EVERY litter and has been for the past 21 years. This
is
done at 7 weeks of age because that is when the puppies have a fully
developed adult brain. When done at this age, it helps to determine
what each puppy's temperament has the potential to develop into.
It also helps us to help you to make the VERY IMPORTANT DECISION
of which
puppy is right for your home according to your needs and expectations.
For more information regarding temperament testing, please do
not
hesitate to contact us. We will be happy to discuss it with you.
All puppies at J-Lyn start their worming process at 2 weeks of age
and continue with this program every two weeks until they leave for
their new homes. Between 7 and 8 weeks of age, they are seen by our
trusted Veterinarian for a complete physical exam, vaccinations and
weight. A Health Certificate is required by the State of Florida,
so none leave without one. All of our pups are very well socialized,
which begins at birth and goes back to how important temperament is
to us.
It is our goal to produce the very best qualify of puppies possible,
with temperament and structure at the top of our list. Of course,
we always hope to have people interested in show quality animals...
but, in all honesty, most of our pups are placed in companion homes
with families that have children, where the dogs are part of the family.
All pets/companions are sold on a limited registration (not for breeding
purposes.)
We do ship, and any inquiries are welcomed so that we may help to
educate those interested in the German Shepherd Dog. Thanks for your
interest in J-Lyn Shepherds!
Sincerely,

Linda Novotasky
